Con is the founder of Plastiras Lawyers and has more than 20 years experience in conducting property, corporate, commercial and estate matters.
Con has strong commercial expertise in a wide range of advisory and large transactional matters including property development, large commercial property acquisitions and sales, and commercial leasing. He also has particular experience in preparing and advising on business structuring agreements and transactions from a risk management perspective including partnerships, joint ventures, trusts and shareholding documents.
Although he has a particular interest in commercial and property law, Con also has experience in commercial litigation, insolvency, debt recovery and estate disputes.
Con is additionally well known for his work in the areas of estate planning and asset protection. Since 1999, he has been the lecturer in charge of the Estate Planning subject in the Master of Laws course at QUT. His expertise ranges from drawing and advising on wills and trusts, designing wealth preserving estate plans and advising on the management and transfer of clients’ assets.
Con’s recent significant transactions include:
- Acting for various developers in large flat land subdivisions and residential unit developments.
- Advising in relation to the acquisition and sale of various commercial, retail and industrial properties and businesses.
- Providing complex structuring and estate planning advice.
- Commencing and defending court proceedings contesting wills, including adequate provision from the estate and undue influence claims.
