Sharrock Pitman Legal

David started his career as a solicitor in 1976.  He is the Practice Group Leader for Dispute Resolution.

After serving his articles at Mallesons, David was an Associate at GWP Aarons and Co, and then at Arnold Bloch Leibler, between 1978-83.

From 1984 until late 2014, David was a member of the Victorian Bar, carrying on practice mainly in Commercial Litigation.

David has practiced in each of the Victorian Supreme Court, County Court and Magistrates Court, the Federal Court and the Federal Magistrates Court as well as the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

David is experienced in dispute resolution in all of the types of matters listed, and is a tenacious advocate.  He is eager to address any challenge.

He considers, however, that litigation is costly and time consuming, generally causing turmoil to the litigants – often at great personal expense.

As a result, David has been a mediator since the mid 1990s, becoming nationally accredited in 2008.
