Overcharging by Law Firms

We have recently commenced assisting clients with reviewing the legal charges they have been charged by legal firms.   This involves Cost Assessments being prepared and lodged for clients in the Supreme Court.

Too often clients are unaware of their rights and what are fair and reasonable legal charges for their legal matters.  If you think that you are or have been overcharged for legal services, you have the right to question the charges and have them reviewed.

Often a review in the Supreme Court by the Cost Assessor will result in significant reductions of the legal fees for the client.  This is always based on what is fair and reasonable charges.  If the Cost Assessor thinks that the charges are not fair and reasonable for the work they will reduce it.
